January 10 health update

Here is a quick rundown of what had happened today.

Picc line installed. This will make it easier to draw blood and give her medicine without having to poke and jab her every time.

πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

Colon biopsy showed only dead cells. The oncologist said that this is because the cancer is moving aggressively through her body and leaving death behind. Sounds like sin doesn’t it?

They rushed her in for another biopsy. This time they took it from the lymph nodes in her neck. They took 6-7 good pieces πŸ™ She’ll have a nice scar.

As soon as they diagnose what she has, they will start treatment. My prayer is that it is by Wednesday. Pray with me.

She had a really hard morning with lots going on. She also ran a fever (103!!!). After running every test possible, the oncologist says that it is the cancer causing the fever.

Her oxygen dropped very low. (84!!!) if you know anything about this, it’s dangerous. I’m grateful for modern medicine and the oxygen in the wall. I look up at this green valve several times an hour and thank God for it.

The pathology from the liquid they drained from her lungs came back negative πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

They may have to drain it again. Kristi is not happy about that!! A long tube stabbed into any part of your body sounds awful!

After we got her pain under control and her oxygen levels back, we had a great time. We have smiled, fallen in love all over again and embraced every moment. I am a blessed man!

We had a special treat this evening. Lily had her last basketball game of the season and our dear school and staff made sure we got a private live stream to be up close to the action. Lily’s team won and she played the best we’ve ever seen. She played almost the whole game and scored baskets, assists, and cheered her team in for the win. A sweet friend even took some professional pictures of her playing. Kristi just held her hand to the screen and loved her baby on. ❀️❀️

Lily’s mad ball skills! Go 33!

Well goodnight! I’ll update again tomorrow. Please stay tuned for a SPECIAL SURPRISE for Kristi I’m going to throw out there tomorrow morning. I’d love you all to participate. Stay tuned!

  7. Congrats to Lily and her team on the win. So nice that it was made possible for both you and Kristi to watch. Thanks be to God for the negative reports. Dissecting lymph nodes can take time, but praying that you get the answers soon so that treatment can begin. Medical bills can add up quickly. Please be sure to let us know in one of your post on how we can donate to help you. Continued prayers for both of you and your family.

  12. Hey Kristi, It’s been a long time since we have seen eachother. 28 years since we walked across that auditorium stage to get our HS diploma. Can you even believe that?? Doesn’t seem possible. A fellow classmate mentioned to me that you are going through a rough patch and I just wanted to write you and let you know that you and your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Whatever the Dr.’s find out, don’t get discouraged. My Mom has Stage IV kidney cancer. 5 years later she is still telling us all what to and not to do. 😊 lol! I will continue to keep up with how you are doing. Keep fighting and stay strong. Love, Traci Crofford Horn
