Another Hurdle

September 2021 at our niece and nephew’s wedding in beautiful Colorado

OK praying friends, we have one more request and a string of hundreds of requests. Kristi had a CT scan this afternoon that showed a perforation in her colon wall. The good news is the chemo is killing the tumor. The bad news is in killing the tumor and left a hole in the colon. She’s having emergency surgery tomorrow morning at 9 AM. They will have to remove part of her colon, her spleen, and whatever else they find when they go in.

So here’s the prayer. Pray that the surgeons hands will be steady and then he will have wisdom and supernatural eyes and hands. Pray that the staff would be well rested and they all needed blood, liquids, and tools would be readily available. Pray that the surgeon will be able to reattach the colon. Pray that Kristi‘s white blood count and immune system will respond between now and tomorrow.

We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support. We can never thank you enough for jointing the fight with us!

  1. Oh my goodness! We are praying and I will pray at 9 and pray her through the surgery. I will be praying for all things you have mentioned. This is war! Lord you are able.

  2. Oh my goodness! That sounds a lot for our minds to take in, but our Heavenly Father knew of this before anyone else! We will of course continue praying for all these things. On a little plus note, I had to have 8” of colon removed last year due to severe diverticulitis, and the reattachment was completely successful! No colostomy bag, everything worked perfectly! Love you guys!! ❤️

  6. We are praying tonight and all morning that everything will go well. Praying for the surgeon and all who will be doing the surgery that they will have steady hands and all that they need. God has this!!!

  18. Praying for all this and for Gods Supernatural guidance through all these things plus successful pain management without hallucinations. God, you know Kristie is so weak and tired; please pick her up in your arms and carry her through this while you completely restore her body to health. I pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.   28. My sweet friend Kristi, all of this really sucks! I hate this for you. I am grieving for your health, I am praying that God will heal you, i am praying that the surgery will go better than expected and that God will guide the surgeons! I am praying that God will give you rest! I am praying for your kids to have a peace as they see their mom like they have never seen her before. I am praying for strength for Ray and that he will be able to be a great caretaker. I am praying that you will be able to receive caring for well because sometimes it’s hard to be cared for. I am praying that in your weakness (and it’s okay to feel weak) God will be your strength. I love you and I miss our visits and I can’t wait to talk with you again.❤️
